Update: Interim Cease Trade Order extended in Skymark Research case.
The ASC has extended its Interim Cease Trade Order against 13 of the 15 respondents in the Skymark Research case. The Interim Cease Trade Order will remain in effect until March 3, 2011.
Please note that ASC Staff are continuing their investigation into this matter. Anyone who has been contacted by someone from or on behalf of Skymark Media Group (also known as Skymark Research), Momentum Consultants, Dylan Leslie Boyle, John Bruce Kirk, Darya Fitsko, Benjamin Thompson Kirk, Josh Kostynuik, Kevin Mix, Chandara Mom, Anthony Parker or Sally Taylor seeking to sell investments or promote securities is asked to contact the ASC Public Inquiries Office at 403-355-4151 or 1-877-355-4488 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Investors are cautioned against sending money for securities or investment purposes to the named parties while the extended Interim Cease Trade Order is in effect.
We’ve had a number of inquiries over the past week regarding Calgary-based Skymark Research, Momentum Consulting and two American companies -- Tradeshow Marketing Company Ltd. based in Bellevue, Washington and Pacific Blue Energy Corp. based in Flagstaff, Arizona. We thought we would address some questions we’ve been asked since the ASC issued an interim cease trade order, a Notice of Hearing, and subsequent news release regarding these companies and the employees of Skymark Research and Momentum Consulting:
Comment on this blog...
- The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has issued a temporary cease trade order that bans all trading of Tradeshow Marketing Company and Pacific Blue Energy securities in Alberta. ASC oversees the Alberta capital market and therefore, our jurisdiction is the province of Alberta and its residents.
- Investors in these companies who reside outside of Alberta and wish to trade these securities should contact their local securities regulator to discuss the matter. Should you hold securities in Tradeshow Marketing Company or Pacific Blue Energy and live in the United States, you can contact the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s toll-Free Investor Information Service at 1-800-SEC-0330 to discuss the matter further.
- This temporary ASC Cease Trade Order also prohibits Skymark Research, Momentum Consultants and listed employees from trading in securities and advising others – wherever they may reside -- about securities. They are banned from providing information or materials of any kind to the public about securities.
