Q: What does the message “This Web site wants to run the following add-on: name.dll from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here...” mean?
A: You will get this message if the Name ActiveX control (name.dll) is not added to the list of preapproved controls in Internet Explorer 7. The Name ActiveX control is included in the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and may not be installed on a computer that is not using the Microsoft Office 2007.
To stop the message from showing up, you can add www.albertasecurities.com to the Trusted Sites list in your Internet Explorer 7.
Follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer 7.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
- Click Trusted sites, and then click Sites.
- In the Trusted sites dialog box, type http://*.albertasecurities.com in the Add this website to the zone box, and then click Add.
- Click Close, and then click OK.
