Join Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) staff as they review their observations from the first IFRS interim financial report filings and summarize the ASC’s 2011 Corporate Finance Disclosure Report.
You are invited to attend one of three information sessions that will highlight topics such as: - what is required to file high quality continuous disclosure;
- what key filing deficiencies the ASC identified in its 2011 continuous disclosure reviews;
- how the ASC works with national and international accounting, auditing and regulatory groups; and
- what potential changes are proposed to accounting and auditing standards.
At the end of the information session, there will be a question and answer period with Chief Accountant Lara Gaede or Associate Chief Accountant Brian Banderk, Corporate Finance Manager Cheryl McGillivray and Corporate Finance Analysts Anne Marie Landry and Monika Meyler. The fee for the in-person sessions is $50. Space is limited for the in-person sessions and registration will be accepted no later than Thursday, January 5, 2012. If you cannot attend an in-person session, you are invited to sign up for the webinar on this topic. The fee is $25. The ASC will provide a link to the webinar (via email) the day before the event.
